When it comes to Business Intelligence, companies have been relying on the software of the global market leader SAS for decades. Our tool Yalan offers analytical support. SAS continuously generates valuable protocols: the logs. Yalan evaluates thousands of logs and supplements the results with information from the analysis of programs and from existing data sets. This creates knowledge about processes and data structures in the form of metadata, which are stored in a log database. Now it is possible to generate reports and graphics with SAS itself or to model processes in suitable tools. The visualisations show dependencies, a sensible migration sequence and where process optimisations can be applied.
